HUMANITY NEEDS VACCINES TO END COVID-19. By Comrade Abel Oche Ankeli The first vaccine discovered was the smallpox vaccine. Smallpox was a deadly illness. It killed 300 million to 500 million people around the world in the last century. After the vaccine was given to people, the disease was eventually erased. It’s the only disease to be completely destroyed. There are now others close to that point, including polio. Your body builds a defense system to fight foreign germs that could make you sick or hurt you. It’s called your immune system. To build up your immune system, your body must be exposed to different germs. When your body is exposed to a germ for the first time, it produces antibodies to fight it. But that takes time and you usually get sick before the antibodies have built up. But once you have antibodies, they stay in your body. ‪[URBAN REGENERATION]: Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu visits Lagos Island Sites (Adeniji Adele, Idumagbo, Jankara and others) this early Saturday Morning, in company of Deputy Speaker, Hon Eshinlokun & some Cabinet Members. Sanwo-Olu restated his administration's commitment to urban regeneration, saying that Lagos truly needs regeneration especially Lagos Island. It must be recalled that Governor Sanwo-Olu, during electioneering spoke on the need for urban renewal especially in some communities in Lagos Island. The Governor also said sincerity is the major issue militating against urban redevelopment in the State. He said: “When you want to take people’s properties and you want to regenerate, they must first see  sincerity of purpose – what are the additional plans that you have for them? BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWO-OLU LAGOS STATE Governor

As part of the inspection of ongoing projects, I visited the Abule-Egba-Oshodi BRT corridor today. The project was conceived with the intention to address transportation and congestion challenges. We are back on the project and have told the contractor to speed up the pace of work. The work on this corridor will significantly bring relief and reduce traffic congestion. We plan that by the end of May, this phase will be completed. It has reached 75 per cent completion and then work on the Abule-Egba to Sango BRT corridor will start immediately.
